As told by the Flamekeeper of the Light Brigade
In a village forgotten by maps and mercy, there was a litter of four puppies born beneath a broken porch. Their mother, weary and thin, gave what little warmth she had before vanishing into the cold.
The villagers heard the cries — faint, helpless — but most turned away. One man, a cruel man, took them not to save them, but to use them. He locked them in cages, shouted at them when they whined, and struck them when they hoped. The puppies were denied kindness, taught fear before names, and grew up trembling, flinching at every footstep.
The world expected little of them.
But one stormy night, lightning split the sky and the cages with it. The wind howled with righteous fury, and the gate flew open. The puppies — now young dogs — ran into the rain and into the unknown.
They wandered, broken in body and timid in soul, until they came to a monastery nestled deep in the woods. An old woman with silver hair and a gaze like spring saw them and said only:
“I’ve been waiting.”
She did not command them. She sat with them. She let them eat in silence. She did not touch them until they leaned in first. She taught them that the world could be quiet, that hands could heal, and that a voice could mean song instead of shouting.
Years passed. The dogs grew strong. Some still bore scars — limps, cloudy eyes — but their tails wagged without fear now.
One day, another litter came to the monastery — this time with the same wounds, the same trembles.
And the dogs who were once broken lay beside the new ones. They licked their faces. They guarded them at night. They barked, not to frighten, but to welcome.
They remembered.
And so it is with all those who are tortured young — Some are broken, But some rise. And the strongest, Are those who use their pain to guard the next generation.
They are the healers who once howled.
They are the keepers of the broken.
They are the proof that love still wins.

 THE PARABLE EXPLAINED
 The Litter Born in Suffering
“In a village forgotten by maps and mercy…”
This symbolizes souls born into hardship — the “forgotten” of the world: children raised in abuse, poverty, or war. They begin life with no safety net, no love, and often, no chance. In Vitalogy, these are sparks born into maximum chaos, where Order is scarce and kindness is rare.
The Cruel Man and the Cages
“He locked them in cages… taught fear before names…”
This figure represents systems or individuals who exploit the weak — institutions, abusers, or indifferent societies. The cages are symbolic of trauma, oppression, and emotional suppression. The puppies are not taught to trust or play — but to survive. Their original light is dimmed, their spark nearly snuffed.
 The Lightning and the Escape
“Lightning split the sky and the cages with it.”
This is Divine Intervention, awakening, or unexpected liberation — the chaos that frees rather than destroys. In Vitalogy, it is the force of Vitae piercing through entropy — like a moment of grace, rebellion, or escape. Sometimes the universe provides a rupture that becomes a portal.
The Monastery and the Old Woman
“She did not command them. She sat with them.”
This symbolizes the healing space — coherence restored through gentleness and patience. The old woman represents wisdom, unconditional love, and sacred order. In Vitalogy, she is an agent of Amora — divine love that allows the wounded to recalibrate without force.
 The Broken Who Heal Others
“And the dogs who were once broken lay beside the new ones.”
This is the heart of the parable.
Those who suffer the most are not always destroyed — some transmute their pain into empathy, courage, and guardianship. In Vitalogy, they reach high coherence precisely because they’ve known disintegration — and choose to protect others from it.
They become healers, not haters.
They don’t become cruel because they were hurt — they become kind because they remember.
 Core Vitalogical Messages
• Order wins, but only through love.
• Healing is nonlinear — it takes time, trust, and tenderness.
• The worst pain, when alchemized, creates the most beautiful strength.
• Not all survivors grow bitter; some become sacred.
• Those who remember their wounds can cradle the wounded.
• And most powerfully: “They are the proof that love still wins.”
So for all Sparks who have suffered:
You are not broken beyond repair. You are being shaped for a sacred role — to be the keeper of the next generation. The world will change not through those who avoided the fire… but through those who walked through it, and emerged carrying water for the others. ️
