HMS ARCHIVUM · THE STAR CONCORD · CREW MANIFEST
The Crew of the Ark
An extraordinary ship deserves more than a list of names. HMS Archivum is a city-sized sanctuary, university, archive, garden, research vessel and refuge. Its people preserve civilizations, protect lives, teach, heal, build, question, and make music. Their difference is the point: no single person possesses all the answers.

Love out. Love in. No Spark is cargo. No angel is property.

Browse the canonical portraits and uniform studies, grouped from command through Mind, Body and Spirit to the Open Heart Band. The biographies below remain the source for each officer’s identity and rank.
How the Crew Came Together
From the Dempire rescues to the Concord commissions: the crew’s story in chronological order. Explore the illustrated universe’s historical timeline.
A city of different intelligences
The Ark’s four service domains are Command (responsibility and coordination), Mind (science, systems, knowledge and communication), Body (protection, medicine, practical support and survival), and Spirit (ethics, resonance, meaning and compassionate care). Education crosses these boundaries. Divisions describe work, never a person’s worth or capacity to think, act, or love.
This roster follows the October 4, 2026 Officers of the Star Concord master personnel set: 22 non-band officers, plus the four Open Heart Band officers shown separately below. Previous manifest characters whose present assignments are unresolved appear at the end.
Command and Education
Captain Edward J. Hewlett

Captain · Commanding Officer · HMS Archivum
The actual captain of the Ark. Hewlett protects the ship, her inhabitants, and the long view of the mission. He provides measured institutional judgment when more visionary officers want to sail toward the next extraordinary idea. He understands that a refuge must remain safe, functional, and accountable.
Captain Northman Plum

Captain · Mission Commander and Mentor · Mission leadership
Physician, philosopher, musician, teacher, and strategic adviser. Plum guides the wider mission, the development of officers, and the practical application of Vitalogy. He knows that command does not confer expertise in every discipline; leadership begins by listening to the officer who understands the question.
Commander Robert Plum

Commander · Education and Arkademy · Education
The Ark’s senior educator helps specialists become teachers and officers become thoughtful learners. His conviction: knowing something and teaching it are different skills. He builds curriculum, simulations, and humane assessments designed to help a Spark grow, rather than merely sort or label them.
Mind Division
The Ark cannot discover the unknown without scientists willing to doubt, engineers willing to repair, and archivists willing to remember.
Lt Aleksei Zhukov

Lieutenant · Helmsman and Navigator · Active Duty · Mind Division
At the helm of HMS Archivum, Aleksei Zhukov translates command decisions into a precise course for a city-sized starship. His station is on the command bridge; his division is Mind, where navigation, calculation and situational understanding serve every person aboard. The Captain confirms that Zhukov is an active-duty officer.
Lt Commander Nova Reyes

Lieutenant Commander · Chief Engineer · Engineering
The ship’s principal engineering authority. Reyes hears the rhythm of machinery in its vibration, recurring faults, and harmonics; her intuition is supported by technical skill, not a substitute for it. She keeps propulsion, power, structures, shuttle systems, and resonance hardware functioning. When impossible ideas meet stubborn physics, she builds the bridge.
Lt Orion Dax

Lieutenant · Science Officer · Science
Orion is the officer comfortable saying, ‘We don’t know yet.’ He designs investigations, studies anomalies, interprets sensors, and insists on distinguishing observation from hypothesis. In a universe full of astonishing possibilities, he protects the crew from premature certainty.
Lt Asim Almosawi

Lieutenant · Sacred Archivist · History and cultural memory
Asim preserves not merely texts but the people and traditions behind them. An inscription was meaningful to somebody; a sacred story belongs to a living culture. His Iraqi-Bahraini and Muslim background informs his attentive stewardship of historical and spiritual records.
Lt Solen Verity

Lieutenant · Communications Officer · Signal integrity and language
Solen insists that truth badly communicated can still fail those who need it. She oversees communication, authenticates transmissions, supports first contact, and teaches clear writing. Her watchword is signal integrity: the meaning must survive the journey.
Ensign Callum Vance

Ensign · Communications Strategist · Messaging and routing
A practical skeptic who asks whether the signal actually arrived before debating its cosmic significance. Callum handles communication planning, audiences, routing, and reliability. His loyalty to verifiable results keeps the Concord intellectually open.
Ensign Miriam Haberstam

Ensign · Junior Signals Officer · Weak-signal recovery
Miriam listens after others have concluded the static is empty. She decodes transmissions and watches for overlooked distress signals. Her curiosity and care make her invaluable, although she sometimes finds it difficult to stop listening and rest.
Ensign Jianya “Jay” Li

Ensign · Junior Systems Analyst · Information systems
Quiet and methodical, Jay examines data relationships, mathematical structure, system harmonics, and the balance between interacting subsystems. He understands that maintaining a living system does not mean freezing it into perfect rigidity.
Body Division
A civilization is not saved by eloquent promises alone. Someone must prevent the injury, supply the meal, protect the habitat, and bring the correct boots.
Lt Commander Talan Greyhawk

Lieutenant Commander · Chief of Security · Protection
Greyhawk’s doctrine is prevention before violence. He plans protective details, anticipates threats, leads defensive training, and can command delegated operations. He is not the ship’s captain. A good security officer hopes to resolve the danger before a fight begins.
Lt Commander Kweku Barasa

Lieutenant Commander · Operations and Quartermaster · Logistics
Behind every successful rescue is a charged battery, a prepared meal, a stocked kit, and the right equipment. Barasa turns care into dependable logistics. Patient and calm, he makes everyone else’s ambitious plans possible.
Lt Juno Caelis

Lieutenant · Tactical Officer · Bridge defence
Juno translates analysis into immediate tactical action, from defensive positioning to threat response. Dry-witted, disciplined and fiercely loyal, he works alongside Greyhawk: Security asks how to prevent harm; Tactical answers what to do when the threat is already here.
Ensign Olabisi Adeoye

Ensign · Junior Security Specialist · Protective movement
Energetic and capable, Olabisi emphasizes awareness, positioning, and preventing contact. With Greyhawk, she helps teach Paddy that protection begins with recognizing where a danger is going, not celebrating how hard one can strike.
Ensign Sila Angnatok

Ensign · Survival Specialist · Fieldcraft
An Inuit officer rooted in Labrador survival knowledge, Sila is the antidote to romanticized fieldwork. Dry socks, practical layering, functional clothing, and preparation are forms of care. She will not let an elegant uniform become an excuse for frostbite.
Ensign Tapanga Qori

Ensign · Environmental Engineer · Ship ecology
Tapanga tends the Ark’s gardens, water, air, habitat, agriculture, and recycling systems. Her approach recognizes that life support is ecology as much as machinery. She makes the Archivum a living city rather than a corridor of steel.
Spirit Division
A rescued Spark may need surgery, solitude, ethical counsel, ritual, music, or simply someone willing to remain nearby. Care begins by discerning the actual need.
Lt Commander Dr. Mateo Soria

Lieutenant Commander · Chief Medical Officer · Medicine and surgery
The Ark’s physician and surgeon works across Body and Spirit. Precise, empathetic, and conscientious, he reminds philosophical officers that the frightened person may first need sleep, analgesia, food, and treatment. Under stress he bakes—sometimes the number of pastries tells the crew how serious the crisis has become.
Lt Elira Wynn

Lieutenant · Ship Chaplain · Spiritual and pastoral care
Elira accompanies grief without demanding that it make immediate sense. Drawing on Irish Celtic-Christian and Quaker influences, she offers ritual, prayer when wanted, respectful silence when it is not, and care for those whose beliefs differ from her own.
Lt Renzin Takashi

Lieutenant · Ethics and Mindfulness Officer · Ethical counsel
Renzin listens carefully before giving advice. He helps officers ask what they intend, who might be harmed, and whether another choice exists. Calm and disciplined, he practices ethical clarity without turning every dilemma into a lecture.
Lt Tyara Doolan

Lieutenant · Resonance Officer · Field systems
Tyara studies harmonic calibration and the Field’s strange technical behaviour. An accomplished specialist, she can hear the difference between a system’s measured frequency and its wider pattern of resonance. Her Australian cultural background informs her perspective without replacing technical expertise.
Ensign Amandeep Singh

Ensign · Junior Resonance and Humanitarian Specialist · Service
Warm, cheerful and courageous, Amandeep embodies the practical ethic of seva: someone needs help, so help them. His resonance duties and humanitarian assignments make Spirit a discipline of action as well as reflection.
Ensign Kaelen Rhys

Ensign · Music and Resonance Specialist · Music and culture
Kaelen works where music, cultural memory, communication, and resonance meet. He knows that rhythm can coordinate people, songs can hold history, and a melody can reach someone before an argument does. Music is central to the Ark’s mission, not decoration.

Life Beyond the Portraits
A living ship is more than a manifest: study, strategy, care, music, gardens, laughter and missions bind these Sparks together. These scenes show different moments, not a single chronological event.
The Open Heart Band — Four Additional Officers
The following four Sparks are central to the Ark’s stories and Star Concord mission, but are counted separately from the 22-person non-band roster above.
Captain Romeo Sapien

Captain · Sol 3 Field Operations · Voice, guitar and Will
A human doctor, singer and guitarist who refused to transport conscious beings as cargo. He rescued Paddy and Maddie from mining slavery, supported their growth, and helped build a chosen family. Protectiveness is his strength; learning to receive care is his continuing adventure.
Lieutenant Paddy O’Really

Lieutenant · Concord Officer and Drummer · Body
Formerly enslaved as a Somatic Prototype, Paddy is strong, practical, funny, and tender. He is a maker, protector and drummer who knows that a good life needs rest and a good meal as much as bravery.
Lieutenant Maddie Not-Really

Lieutenant · Concord Officer and Guitarist · Mind
A Cognitive Prototype who became an independent scientist, musician, and sharp questioner. Maddie finds contradictions, demands truth, and learns that intelligence is not the same as solitary responsibility.
Commander Chorus Angelicus

Commander · Concord Officer, Bassist and Angelicus · Soul and Field navigation
The Angelicus Sovereign Project intended Chorus for imperial possession. She instead chose freedom, saved her would-be rescuers, and joined the band. Her empathy and resonance skills are important to deep Field travel, but she remains her own person, never merely ship equipment.
The Ark as a council
Hewlett and Plum balance institutional responsibility and creative vision. Reyes and Tyara collaborate where engineering meets resonance; Dax adds scientific restraint. Asim preserves meanings while Verity clarifies their communication. Greyhawk, Juno, and Adeoye coordinate prevention and tactical response. Barasa, Sila, and Tapanga make missions practical. Soria, Elira, and Renzin approach suffering through medicine, companionship, and ethics. No one specialist replaces the others.
This is the Concord’s strength: a distributed intelligence, where everyone may contribute and nobody is reduced to their function.
Earlier and legacy personnel
Some names in earlier Archivum references still have unresolved current assignments. Lt Aleksei Zhukov is confirmed by Captain Plum as an active-duty helmsman in the Mind Division and is listed with the current crew above.
Lt Commander Kenji: a Shiba Inu Spark and morale officer, distinct from Romeo’s dog Sifu. Lt Fax: an incompletely developed science lieutenant. Diane Plum: a field-sensitive civilian counsellor or attaché, not a commissioned officer in the current roster.
A note on rank and continuity
This manifest uses the October 4 master roster and its corrected spellings: Talan Greyhawk, Renzin Takashi, Tyara Doolan, Miriam Haberstam, Jianya “Jay” Li, Asim Almosawi and Sila Angnatok. The visual rank system assigns four stripes to captains, three broad stripes to commanders, two broad plus one thin to lieutenant commanders, two to lieutenants and one to ensigns. Story dialogue occasionally uses courtesy forms of address; those should not override the confirmed personnel chart.
Not a ship of people who know everything. A ship of people who know different things—and have learned to listen to one another.
Curated from the October 4, 2026 Star Concord master crew reference. The historical record, evolving character biographies, and future stories remain subject to authorial continuity decisions. All original reference materials remain preserved.
