Vitalogy as a Unifying Philosophy — The Original Essays
What could Vitalogy illuminate? Captain Plum asked this question repeatedly between May 2025 and June 2026: could a philosophy of existence, pattern, coherence, consciousness, truth and care serve as a common language across many fields of knowledge?
These six foundational writings document the development of that idea. The original full texts have been rescued from GoDaddy and are preserved as separate, editable documents hosted on WordPress. Each is linked here, alongside its original historical URL.
How to read these originals: Some were written in dialogue with AI assistants, use poetic metaphysics, or confidently state claims not established by science. They are preserved in their historical wording so readers can distinguish the evolution of the philosophy from later, more careful presentations. Each document names its publication date and original source.

The Philosophy in One Paragraph
Vitalogy asks: What exists? How do patterns form and endure? What makes an account true? How do systems become coherent or break down? Which actions protect and enrich the lives of conscious beings? These questions touch science, medicine, education, art, technology and ordinary human relationships—not by giving those disciplines identical answers, but by offering a common set of philosophical questions.
Scope is not proof. Vitalogy is a philosophical proposal, not an experimentally validated theory of physics or consciousness. Mathematics, medicine and the other disciplines retain their own methods and evidentiary requirements. A philosophy claiming to honour Truth must remain open to correction.
